An artist enjoying the struggle to create,
delighted by colour, texture, shape and beauty,
excited by possibilities.
After a cataract operation 14 years ago, I found the world suddenly revealed in beautiful colour and clarity, and I wanted to be able to paint and draw it all. I started learning in a class called “Drawing for non-artists” which taught me how to look and how to make marks on paper that captured something of what I saw. Since then I have attended many different classes and worked in different media. I held my first exhibition in June 2009.
